Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)
Özak Tekstil works towards the zero occupational accidents and occupational disease goal with proactive and participatory approaches for the full physical, social and emotional well-being of employees. In his context, occupational health and safety policies and practices that will create a safe and healthy work environment are developed with the participation of all employees. The results of the audits performed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security or the customers show compliance with legal occupational health and safety requirements.
Digitalization
Digitalization of Design
Since 2019, 3D product designers and pattern makers have been trained at Özak in partnership with “CLO® 3D”. Therefore, the company serves all customers not only with products manufactured through traditional methods but also with 3D-designed products. Furthermore, patterns created based on brands’ own sizes can be corrected on the 3D design. As a result, the company saves time and resources. In addition, high-resolution images of physical products are shared with customers using the camera “Style Shoots® Horizontal.”
Digitalization of Production
A tablet computer app project has been launched in all three enterprises of Özak Tekstil. The app aims to ensure the digital transfer of data from each machine, as well as instant analyses and reports, including instant productivity analyses. The goal is to include all production processes in digital transformation.
Environmental Management
Özak Tekstil minimizes the environmental impact of its activities with its effective environmental policies.
As a result of its production process:
- • Wastewater is treated in treatment facilities and discharged according to legal limits and pursuant to a discharge permit issued by the relevant authority.
- • Our waste is separated into two groups, namely hazardous and non-hazardous, sent to recycling facilities and/or licensed disposal companies and reused or safely disposed of.
- • Water conservation control and development policies are implemented for the continuation of biodiversity. Water use is reduced by selecting state-of-the-art machinery and different chemical variations at the top of these practices. In this context, joint projects and R&D studies are conducted with customers.
Chemical Management
A proactive chemical management method is implemented in order to completely eliminate the use of hazardous chemicals in production through chemical risk controls and/or to reduce hazard levels through substitution management. In this context, the identification of the impact of the products on the environment and human health and the achievement of the ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) by the end of 2023 are among the main topics in Özak’s chemical management strategy. In addition, compliance with the REACH regulations is ensured.
